"You Are The Sun/You Are The Sea" 2014
I read this beautiful article in Tricycle Quarterly about how a seed responds to its environment--how soil, air, moisture, and sunlight penetrate its membrane and the genetic unfolding begins. There's a way in which the seedling and its surroundings are not distinct. It's a concrete emblem of the non-dual. Like the seed, we are pressed into this world on all sides, and we are always unfolding in our unique way. Yet the edges of the feedback loop are indistinct. We are the sun/we are the sea.
